INOCHI RL – RINGER LACTATE

DESCRIPTION 
A sterile, colorless and non-pyrogenic solution for intravenous administration.

INDICATIONS 
As fluid and electrolyte replenisher, plasma volume expander and systematic alkalizer, specifically used to treat patients suffering from dehydration with acidosis condition.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION 
Always use according to physician’s instructions. Dosage or injection should be used in accordance with the condition of each patient.

DRUG MECHANISM 

• Ringer Lactate solution has approximately the same electrolyte composition and concentration as that of the extracellular fluid. Sodium ions are the major cation in the extracellular fluid (ECF) and as such are the major contributor to the blood plasma osmotic pressure. Chloride ions are the major anion in the ECF. Potassium is the major intracellular cation. It helps establish the resting membrane potential in neurons and muscle fibers after membrane depolarization and action potentials. Restoration of these essential electrolytes are needed during fluid resuscitation, as in the case of dehydration and hypovolemic shock (low intravascular blood volume) treatments.
• Rapid IV infusion of Ringer Lactate, containing 28 mEq/L Lactate(metabolized into bicarbonate) is recommended in severe dehydration or diarrhea (usually accompanied with metabolic acidosis), where large amount of bicarbonate may be lost through stool.
• Ringer Lactate IV infusion is also an effective treatment for dengue shock syndrome and hemorrhagic shock.

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

• Not to be used for patients with lactic acidosis condition.
• Not to be used as an emetic.

CAUTION 

• Not for use in treatment of lactic acidosis.
• This solution should be used with care in patients with oedema peripheral pulmonary, congestive heart failure, impaired renal function and preeclampsia.

SIDE EFFECT 
Hypernatremia, excessive adminitration can also cause hypocalcemia

ATTENTION 
Do not use if the bottle is damaged, has cloudy solution or contains particles.

STORAGE CONDITION 
The product has to be stored below 30°C.
