INOCHI – RINGER ACETATE

DESCRIPTION 
A sterile, colorless and non-pyrogenic solution for intravenous administration.

DRUG MECHANISM 
Sodium chloride aids in maintaining osmotic pressurein the blood, the interstitial tissue and the cells. Potassium Chloride and Sodium Chloride aids to maintain electrolyte balance in the blood and interstitial tissue. Sodium acetate serves as precursor of bicarbonate to treat metabolic acidosis condition.

INDICATIONS 
Treatment of acidosis resulting from dehydration and excessive loss of bicarbonate ions from the body.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION 
Always use according to physician’s instructions. Dosage or injection should be used in accordance with the condition of each patient.

CONTRAINDICATIONS 

• Not to be used for patients with congestive heart failure, renal failure, oedema pulmonary caused by sodium retention and hyperproteinemia.
• Not to be used for patients with hypernatremia, hyperchloremia, hyperkalemia and hyperhydration condition.

CAUTION 

• For prolonged use, it is recommended that the patient conducts periodic clinical monitoring that include checks of the serum ionogram, water balance and acid-base status.
• Used with caution in children, older patients, patients suffering from hypertension and toxemia of pregnancy.
• Not be added to blood transfusions since it may cause precipitation.

SIDE EFFECTS 

• Reactions that may occur because of the solution or the technique of administration include febrile response, infection at site of injection, thrombosis or vein phlebitis extending from the site of injection and extravasation.
• Fever.
• Hypervolemia.

ATTENTION 
Do not use if the bottle is damaged, has cloudy solution or contains particles.

STORAGE CONDITION 
The product has to be stored below 30°C.
